Who Am I and What is This Place?

Torrid is the handle (nick) I usually go by, and I make World of Warcraft addons.

"Torrid" came from needing a new handle ~15 years ago. Being the uncreative teenager that I was, I picked the coolest sounding word in the dictionary I could find from a brief few minute search. It means "extremely hot" or "characterized by intense emotion" or "emotionally charged and vigorously energetic." It seemed somewhat fitting to name my wizard and mage characters this. Sadly over the years I've only seen the word used by unimaginative writers describing love affairs. I also had the name long before that god damn store. I'm currently contemplating abandoning the name. FU Hot Topic.

This site was originally primarily going to be a sort of gamer's blog highlighting my adventures as the main tank for my highly successful EverQuest guild, Hoss. This was a long time ago, and since everybody started blogging, it became uncool. Also, since I quit EQ, I have fewer impressive gaming accomplishments to post about. After EverQuest, I did the raiding thing in FoH for a couple of years since WoW's beta, and while I had some good times with them, I had to leave them due to some unfortunate misunderstandings. Since then I've lost interest in WoW's raid game and have just been writing addons and PvPing with some old FoH buddies occasionally. This barren site now only hosts my addons. (most of which are also a available on curse.com)
